We are really pleased to be back open. The safety of our visitors is paramount and so we would like to let you know that the beach hut is thoroughly cleaned after every visit, there is hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes at the beach hut. Currently we have taken the decision to remove the board games, books and playing cards but you are welcome to bring your own. We are keeping up to date with the government advice and ask that you adhere to the latest guidelines.

Mersea Beach Hut 213
Mersea 213 is a luxury, large, front row beach hut. At the front of the beach hut there is wooden decked area that is perfect for sitting and soaking up the sun and taking in the stunning views. Fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing day the beach. It has a two ring gas stove, kettle, cups, plates, non-break glasses (squash, wine and fizz) cutlery, a windbreak, a water carrier, binoculars, a small first aid kit, salt and vinegar for fish and chips, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. It is close to the Victoria Esplanade Carpark, playground, loos, the Two Sugars cafe and Cowabunga's surf shack which are all less than a minutes walk away.
Inside the beach hut there is bench seating and a table which looks out over the beach. For sitting outside the beach hut there are four fold up deck chair style chairs. There are two body boards, a tub full of beach toys including buckets and spades and beach tennis in the storage box at the back of the beach hut.
In case the weather takes a turn or you need a break from the sun, there is a selection of board games and playing cards or watch the sailing boats go by with the beach hut binoculars.

Suitable For 8 People
For your own enjoyment, to respect our beach hut neighbours and to comply with our license, there is a strict maximum number of 8 per booking group which includes all adults, children and babies inside and outside of the beach hut.
Mersea Beach
Mersea is the most easterly inhabited island in the UK and is approximately 7 square miles in size. It has beautiful coastal scenery and is world famous for its seafood. West Mersea Beach is a great day out for seaside lovers, it's perfect for sandcastle building, paddling, exploring nature or for those who just like people and boats go by. A visit to West Mersea Beach feels like you've discovered a well-kept secret.
Tide

Parking
Dogs
Victoria Esplanade Car Park, CO5 8BH is a pay and display car park with 150 spaces. It is about a 1 minute walk from the car park to the beach hut. It is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Up to 3 hours is £2.00 and over 3 hours is £3.50. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours in any bay when displaying a Blue Badge. Please note that the gates to the carpark are locked at 8pm. You can pay by cash (no notes) or pay by phone (MiPermit) location number 737705. Full details of how to pay are listed in the carpark.
If this car park is closed then the next closest car park is Willoughby Avenue car park CO5 8AU, which is just behind the Two Sugars Café.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the beach hut with a maximum of two. There is a dog water bowl in the beach hut. Dogs are allowed on the beach at Mersea all year round.
