What You'll Discover In Your Beach Hut

Open up Mersea Beach Hut 213 and you'll be wowed by how spacious iit is and you'll love its modern coastal style and simple clean lines. There is a our signature cushion loaded L-shaped seating and table looking out over the beach. The beach hut is decorated with surf wall art and modern prints Another great feature of this beach hut is it's prime position. 

 

It has a modern kitchen area with a two ring gas hob, sink, kettle, matches, cups, wine fizz and tumbler glasses, plates, side plates, bowls, cutlery, children's cups plates bowls and cutlery, condiments, complimentary tea, coffee + hot chocolate, a cafetiere, frying pan, pots, cooking utensils, water carrier, washing up liquid, cloth, tea-towel, chopping boards, bottle opener and a @beauaandelliot folding wine table, champagne/wine/drinks bucket (just bring ice).

 

Step outside and there is a large wooden decked area great for soaking up the sun. The beach hut comes with four of our signature designer 'Cool Coastal Huts' deckchairs and windbreak.

 

There is a @gotchabrand bodyboard @scrunchkidsuk buckets and spades, board games and playing cards..

Available from 9.30am to 7pm - Pay and Display Parking less than a one minute walk - Close to cafes -  Beach Hut food deliveries available 

 

There is a strict maximum number of 8 per booking group, which includes all adults, children and babies inside and outside of the beach hut. This is to comply with our license, so as not to encroach on our beach hut neighbours and to generally ensure a good time is had by all.

Mersea Beach

Mersea has beautiful coastal scenery and is world famous for its seafood. West Mersea Beach is a great day out for beach lovers, it's perfect for people watching, paddle boarding and kayaking, or just chilling and watching the world go by  A visit to West Mersea Beach feels like you've discovered a cool secret and its just over an hour from London.

Tide

DOG FRIENDLY BEACH HUT

The beach hut is dog friendly and well behaved dogs are welcome in the beach hut with a maximum of two. There is a dog water bowl in the beach hut.  Dogs are allowed on Mersea Beach all year round.

Beach Hut Parking

Nice and easy - Victoria Esplanade Car Park, is directly behind the beach huts and less than a minutes walk. The postcode for the car-park is CO5 8BH. What3words ///mend.eradicate.toned. It is a pay and display car park with 150 spaces open from March to October (subject to weather conditions). It is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Full details of how to pay are listed in the carpark. If this car park is closed then the next closest is Willoughby Avenue car park CO5 8AU, which is just behind the Two Sugars Café which is also open 8am to 8pm. There is also Seaview Avenue car park. Please Note: That the Victoria Esplanade Car Park and Willoughby Avenue car park close and the gates are locked at 8pm. From the November to March it is possible to park in Seaview Avenue car park or on the double red lines along Victoria Esplanade.

Loos

There are loos less than a minutes walk from the beach huts:

Willoughby Avenue Loos behind the Two Sugars Cafe. These are open all year, 8am to 6pm except Christmas Day and New Years Day

Fairhaven Avenue Loos, at the bottom of Fairhaven Avenue (these are closed in winter)

There are is an accessible loo and changing facilities for blue badge holders in Victoria Esplanade car park. Accessible all year if you are a Radar Key Holder

Water

There is no running water at the beach hut. There are various taps less than 1 minutes away and a water carrier in the beach hut.

Beach Wheelchair

Please call Karen on  07946888063 If you would like a beach wheelchair organised. Karen can arrange for the use of a  D-Bug beach wheelchair or Hippocampe beach wheelchair. A minimum of 48 hours notice to arrange and booking is subject to availability, Please let me know by email jo@coolcoastalhuts.co.uk if you do use a wheelchair,  as we make a contribution to the Freedom Boat Project

We can also arrange access to the Changing Places accessible toilets and changing facilities located in the car-park directly behind the beach huts. Changing Places Toilets (changing-places.org)

Cancellation policy

Cancellation or Moving of a Booking 
We offer free cancellation up to 7 full days before arrival. After this point a £40 per hire day admin fee will be deducted from any refund. No refund will be given if the cancellation is within 48 hours.

We offer free amendments up to 7 full days before a booking subject to availability. Less than a week from a booking no amendments can be made. 

Refunds or alternative dates are not given for bad weather on the day of hire. Please appreciate that the weather is out of our control.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking in the event that we are unable to let the beach hut for reasons beyond our control. A full refund or credit option would be given in this case.
