🤩When we are not at the beach huts...👇🏼

👉🏻We are still out and about, so I thought I'd share some of our absolute favourite Lo-Cool (see what I there) getting out ideas with you. Starting with 👇🏼

🤩The Tollesbury Wick Marshes + marvellous sausage roll trail. Honestly, it might be a close tie between the killer views and the sausage rolls at @theloft_teabythesea at the end. Try it yourself, and let me know what steals the show for you. 😉

🤩Bonus:
There’s a cheeky link to beach huts as you can spot Mersea’s iconic ones across the water. Plus, if you're into beautiful wooden structures like we are, Tollesbury’s sail lofts are not to be missed.

🗺️ Here’s the route:
We parked by the sail lofts (a little heads-up: high tide can cover this spot, so check the timings). From there, we wandered past the marina and onto the Wick Marshes footpath. You’ll follow the sea wall all the way around – it’s a nice 2.5-hour walk. At the end, stroll past Wick Farm, then head down Woodrolfe Road, looping you right back to the sail lofts. We used 'Essex 40 Favourite Walks' book to guide us.

Once you're done, it's time for the reward: head straight to @theloft_teabythesea for sausage rolls that will make your walk totally worth it. It is such a cool eclectic find anyway (and dogs are allowed in). Oh, and a tip: check the opening times because we almost pushed our luck with closing time (work backwards, trust me 😉).

🤩Save this one for a spring idea or send to a sausage roll loving friend who just needs that little extra bribe to head out.

🤩Frinton 188 is our newest beach hut… The moment I saw it, I knew it was going to be an amazing addition. It needed a lot of imagination at the time, it was in a bad way, so much so the door fell off as I looked around. But I knew it had so much cool potential and was going to be perfect. After a total renovation, I hope you'll agree it is now. So here’s the low down👇🏼.

•Pole positioned on the front row, on the lovely Low Wall area of Frinton, it's literally a few steps to the beach
•Just a minute’s walk to free parking, loos, and a water tap
•Conveniently close to shops (including the all-important fish and chip shop)

•Dog-friendly, max 2 (188 is on the dog friendly all year section of the beach)
